In 1995, Brandon graduated, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a B.A. in History. He received his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 1999. Brandon practices in the areas of municipal law, insurance defense, premises liability, entertainment law, commercial litigation, corporate law and criminal defense.
As an entertainment lawyer and litigator, Brandon regularly negotiates contracts on behalf of entertainment artists in connection with such artists’ appearances on The Stellar Awards, Verizon’s “How Sweet the Sound” Gospel Choir Competition, McDonald’s Gospel Fest, Mega Fest, The Essence Festival and other various concert events. Brandon also regularly negotiates contracts with such entities as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, EMI Gospel, TV One, The Word Network and Tyler Perry Studios. Brandon also serves as public defender and guardian ad litem with the Hinds County Youth Court.
Brandon has served as a “Special Judge” at the Hinds County Youth Court in accordance with Section 43 – 21 – 113 of the Mississippi Code Annotated, presiding over cases where children are believed to have been abused and / or neglected. Brandon is regularly invited as a guest lecturer for the Guardian Ad Litem and Juvenile Defender training series at the Mississippi College School of Law.
Brandon was featured in the July 2011 edition of the Mississippi College School of Law’s “Amicus” magazine. Brandon is a Fall 1992 initiate of the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Brandon and his wife, LeTunya live in Clinton with their three children, Brandon, Jr. , Logan and Erin Elizabeth. Brandon and his family are members of the Greater Pearlie Grove Missionary Baptist Church and their Pastor is Stephen F. Mason. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys traveling with his family, attending and participating in his children’s dance and sports activities, reading, watching the news to “catch – up” on current events and singing.
