Andrea’ R. Barnes
Andrea’ R. Barnes is a native of Madison, Mississippi and is licensed to practice law in all Mississippi Courts, the Federal District Courts of the Northern and Southern District of Mississippi and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Andrea’ graduated magna cum laude, from Tougaloo College with a B.A. in Economics. She received her Masters of Arts in Business Administration from Jackson State University. Andrea’ received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law graduating cum laude. Andrea’ practices in the areas of general civil litigation, including but not limited to, family law, wills and estates, bankruptcy law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury.
Andrea’ is actively engaged and committed to her community. She served as an adjunct Professor in the Pre-Law Department at Tougaloo College. Andrea’ has also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Senior Judge Tomie T. Green, Hinds County Circuit Court. Andrea’ presently serves as an Assistant Prosecutor with Hinds County. Andrea’ is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She and her son, Holiness Jamal are members of Norman Chapel Baptist Church where she serves as Associate Minister and her father is the Pastor. Andrea’ is the daughter of Rev. Holiness Barnes, Jr., and Betty Barnes. In her spare time, Andrea’ enjoys spending quality time with her family and traveling.
